Since its beginning, the company has conducted its production activities using a biosafe program, which follows strict food safety guidelines.

Today, PRONACA meets environmental requirements and laws.It also conducts research periodically to develop environmentally conscious projects that complement other occupational health and industrial safety efforts to safeguard its personnel.

The company has built water treatment plants for its industrial facilities to prevent water pollution. Also, inside the poultry and pork slaughter houses, there are sub−plants dedicated to derived products, which allow us to utilize remnants to manufacture usable materials.

Pork farms are equipped with oxidation ponds for water treatment. Some farms are already changing this method to a dry system called "deep bedding" developed by the company's own technical staff.The system uses beds of rice husk, eliminating excessive water consumption, potential bad odor, and it produces compost that may be used as fertilizer.

Additional to the continuous effort from its environmental technical team in every area of the company, it runs an assessment program comprised of national and international environmental experts. There are other programs in development, including energy efficiency, waste management, and organic waste recycling.
